Hi friends! It’s December 2009 and I’m writing this bio from the heart of Mexico in Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes. This is my new, temporary home and I love it here. Over 7 decades ago, my mom was born and raised in this very city (town back then) and I’ve now come to live here to be part of a culture I first fell in love with while visiting annually as a kid with my mom and brothers. I would come down here and spend summers with all of my mom’s family. And they're all still here!

Now, I wasn’t raised here in Mexico but was actually born and raised in San Francisco, California, in the heart of the Haight-Ashbury. San Francisco is the city where my dad was born and raised as well. Seeing the connection? After living there for 25 years, I moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in broadcasting, but ultimately established my career as an artist using the mediums of photography & painting.

I had always been interested in the arts as an onlooker, but it wasn't until the year 2000 when a chain of coincidental events led me to pick up a camera and begin photographing actors and models while, at the same time, also assisting an internationally recognized artist who suggested that I try painting. So I picked up the paintbrush, put it to paper and what came out it was a re-connection to what I had experienced as a kid - a deep passion and joy in putting paint to paper/canvas.  So, for the next few years I made painting my hobby and photography my career.

Then something quite unexpected happened in 2007 - my mediumship and channeling gifts opened up and I began working with the energies of the Divine Mothers and Fathers, which are Source Energy. They have chosen to work through me while painting so that the artwork that is created carries Universal Light force and complete unconditional Love bringing joy and healing to each individual heart that experiences my artwork in person or through reproduced versions of the originals.

I have recently finished painting channeled work for a book coming out in January of 2010, “Gifts from the Divine Mothers” a collection of art with channeled writings by Cushla Lovejoy. I have also finished work on a series of 26-Divine Fathers-channeled paintings showing the soul’s journey. This series is viewable by clicking here.

What is my process when channeling and creating art work?

The most difficult but most rewarding experience as an artist channeling work from Divine Source Energies has been getting myself out of the way – ego and all. Whew! Although all creativity is channeled through everyone from a higher place, when the Divine Ones work through me, they go a step further and incorporate their energies inside of me and completely take over all my body movements and artistic input.

Let me paint you an example: When I stand in front of a blank canvas, I put my mind and heart into a place of peace and trust. The Divine Energies (Mothers or Fathers) begin conversing with me as they bring in their energy. Shortly thereafter, they begin moving my hands around, picking out the paints and paintbrushes. Then they begin moving my arms and body to create the brushstrokes and design until the painting is finished. During this process, I am completely out of the way and unable to make decisions based on personal likes and dislikes. It’s as if I’m on strings like Pinocchio and I’m watching this video of myself painting. I’m creating styles that I never would’ve done alone. Sometimes, the paintings are dominated by colors that are my least favorite colors. But that is perfect because ultimately the result is incredible and liberating and I know that it serves a higher purpose for all who experience this work.

Currently, I am creating a new series of work from my studio here in Mexico which will be displayed on the site as soon as they are finished. I am also balancing creative time with doing healings for the people of Mexico using color therapy, quartz therapy, and Divine Love energy.
